Can Stofbind pay off?
The answer is yes! Over the course of 10 years, a woman uses approx. 3500 disposable pads, and cloth pads easily last for 10 years if you wash them correctly. There is a lot of money and resources to be saved.
Why choose fabric pads?
Here are some of the best reasons to switch to cloth pads
1. No nuisance
Someone gets eczema or redness and itching from using disposable pads, because of the lack of breathability and the chemistry in disposable pads.
2. No Harmful Chemistry
Disposable sanitary napkins are not naturally completely white. The fibers in the pads are chlorine bleached to give them their clean and sterile appearance. This bleaching process creates dioxin, a highly toxic and polluting substance.
You get a dose of this harmful chemistry into your body every time you put on a new disposable pad.
3. The environmentally friendly choice
By choosing cloth napkins, you save nature from incredibly large amounts of waste. You thereby save nature both for the chemistry that is in disposable sanitary napkins, as well as for the chemistry used during the production of the many disposable sanitary napkins.
4. Better absorbency
Some find that cloth pads absorb better than disposable pads. At Happy Vag, you can choose to have an extra layer of suction sewn in if you bleed profusely.
Storage and washing
All products can be washed at up to 60 degrees. Feel free to use a laundry bag to protect the buttons and seams, so that your pads will last for many years. Between washing, the pads can be stored in a wetbag or a bucket of cold water in the bathroom. Wring out your pads in cold water before putting them in the bag. Should discoloration occur, it helps to dry diapers and pads in the sun.
